The demo center has a fully equipped commercial kitchen cookline with the latest in energy- and water-saving commercial foodservice appliances and ventilation systems.

PG&E’s demo room at Frontier Energy’s Foodservice Technology Center is a 40-seat event space uniquely designed for the foodservice industry. The demo center has a fully equipped commercial kitchen cookline with the latest in energy- and water-saving commercial foodservice appliances and ventilation systems. Frontier Energy provides expert staffing at the demo room and consults with utilities around the country to create their own demonstration spaces and kitchen labs.
Specific activities include:
- Restaurateurs in the PG&E service territory can bring their own ingredients and test drive new high-performance equipment.
- Educational seminars on many topics related to foodservice energy and water efficiency.
- Hands-on, energy-conscious training about equipment and behavior for industry professionals and culinary students.
- Equipment demonstrations from major manufacturers to showcase cutting-edge equipment.
- Design consultation for new and remodeled commercial kitchens in the PG&E territory.
- Meeting space for PG&E representatives and for industry associations.
- Partnerships with: National Restaurant Association, Gas Foodservice Equipment Network, Restaurant Facility Management Association, North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers, and Foodservice Consultants Society International.
